The event scheduler tries to start all jobs, which have been waiting for this event. However, please keep in mind that an event scheduler can start event based jobs only on the server, where it (i. e. the event scheduler) is running. For example, if the event scheduler runs on A, it can only start event based jobs with target server A and event based jobs without target server. If an event based job has a target server other than A, the event scheduler transforms this job into a time based job with start date and start time = system date and system time. Root Cause && Solution from BC-CCM-BTC's point of view: The transport RDDIMPDP job does not have a target server by default, and you define the default SAP_DEFAULT_BTC server group in SM61.
What does RDDIMPDP Job do?
SAP_DEFAULT_BTC batch server group only include server A, B and C. However, The event SAP_TRIGGER_RDDIMPDP is triggerred on the server D which does not include in SAP_DEFAULT_BTC batch server group. Therefore, all the event based jobs were changed to time based jobs, The jobs will only start after next time scheduler is running, This is the reason why there is delay (up to 40sec) for each job. So, make sure the SAP_TRIGGER_RDDIMPDP event is triggered on the server which is included in SAP_DEFAULT_BTC server group, then this symptom will be avoided. (for example, add all the instances to SAP_DEFAULT_BTC) The lucky thing is that, It has now been technically possible for a solution to the problem to be implemented. Import the support package or implement the correction instructions in SAP Note 2394302 - Event jobs start with delay.
